THE GOAL

Help potential hires match and apply to available positions at Zuora.

The User

User goals

  • Search jobs

  • Find the job description

  • Apply to the job

  • Determine if Zuora is the right fit

Problem

Job filtering experience was not accurate, and career pages did not reflect the companies diversity and great benefits of working at Zuora.

Assumptions

Users are looking for a job

Users can come from a job board, recruiter, or the Zuora homepage

Constraints

Key Search was not available

No team pages

No audience-specific content

Requirements

Design the job search, application, and working at Zuora pages

The search tool must be easy to use and accurate

Job selection must include team and location drop-downs above the fold

The career pages will be a sub-domain

The job description and application form fill must be on the same page

Represents Zuora’s brand and culture

User Flows

While creating user-flows, I envision how a user would utilize the application. I think about all the different ways a user could achieve a goal, then cross off unnecessary steps to simplify the experience.

Hand-drawn wireframes

I sketch wireframes to layout and order information.

Using the hand-drawn wireframes, I developed screen flows to understand how users interact with the site.

Digital wireframes

Below are the original wireframes sent to the Zuora team as a framework for the final mockups.

Implementing feedback

I implemented feedback from the project managers and head of design to enhance the next stage of the mockups.

Hand-Off

After speaking with developers, I separated the job search function from the job description page.

Responsive design

I designed mobile-first for sections with more intricate interaction, such as the Job Search page.

Finals

I delivered mobile prototypes and mockups for the entire job search experience.

Desktop

I delivered mockups and prototypes for the desktop experience.

In addition to the job search experience, I provided final mockups for the Careers Home and Working at Zuora pages.
